Snoring could be a deadly warning sign of sleep apnea, which increases stroke risk up to four times, doctors warn. India reports 1.8 million new stroke cases annually, with one death every four minutes. Stroke incidence has risen from 90 to 145 per 100,000 people, and 56% of cases now occur in women, with a growing number seen among those aged 15–49 years.
