Molbio’s IPO, slated to open on August 10 and close on August 12, is priced between ₹768 and ₹807 per share. This public offering is expected to raise between ₹904 crore and ₹940 crore. The IPO consists of a fresh issue worth up to ₹200 crore and an offer for sale of up to 91.66 lakh shares by existing stakeholders, including Exxora Trading LLP and individual shareholders.

The proceeds from the fresh issue will be allocated to capital expenditure, with ₹106 crore earmarked for setting up a research and development facility and a Centre of Excellence. Additionally, ₹72 crore will be used for purchasing machinery and equipment for its units in Goa and Visakhapatnam. The remaining funds will cover general corporate expenses.

Company Background and Market Position

Incorporated in 2000, Molbio Diagnostics specializes in molecular testing for diseases such as tuberculosis, COVID-19, HIV, and Hepatitis B and C through its 'Truenat' platform. This patented point-of-care PCR platform is operational in over 100 countries, designed for use in resource-limited settings, and delivers diagnostic results within an hour.

Molbio operates six manufacturing facilities in India, located in Goa, Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam, and Pune. As of March 31, 2026, the company's annual production capacity included 5,400 devices and 3.9 crore Truenat test kits. The company reported a revenue of ₹1,445 crore and a profit of ₹164 crore for the fiscal year 2026.

Post-IPO, Molbio Diagnostics is anticipated to have a market valuation of approximately ₹9,300 crore. The company's shares are set to list on the BSE and NSE on August 17, with Kotak Mahindra Capital Company, IIFL Capital Services, Jefferies India, and Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors managing the issue.
