Magnet Hospitals Launches in Bengaluru with Innovative Co-Ownership Model

Magnet Hospitals has made a significant entrance into Bengaluru's healthcare sector, launching operations with eight hospitals across the city. The network plans to expand to 12 locations with a total of 1,200 beds by 2028, aiming to transform healthcare delivery through a unique clinician co-ownership model.

Clinician Co-Ownership Model Introduced

Founded by healthcare executive Dinesh Madhavan and a group of entrepreneurs, Magnet Hospitals is setting a new precedent in the Indian healthcare landscape. The network introduces a first-of-its-kind clinician co-ownership model, granting doctors and nurses equity in the holding company. This initiative is designed to enhance accountability and improve patient care by ensuring that clinical decisions align with patient outcomes.

Expanding Footprint and Technological Investments

The current operations include hospitals located in Langford Town, Electronic City, Jayanagar, Arakere, Jigani, Jalahalli, Mahalakshmi Layout, and Nagarbhavi. Additionally, two new hospitals are under development in Kalyan Nagar and Varthur. Over the next two years, Magnet Hospitals plans to add four more facilities, completing their expansion to 12 hospitals.

Beyond physical expansion, Magnet Hospitals is investing in technology to enhance care delivery. The network is partnering with medical technology companies and deploying an Agentic AI platform to improve operational efficiency and patient experience. This technological integration aims to streamline processes and provide high-quality care at reduced costs.

Commitment to Social Responsibility

In addition to its expansion and innovation goals, Magnet Hospitals is committed to social responsibility. The network plans to reserve 15 beds across its Bengaluru hospitals to offer treatment to economically weaker sections at no cost. This initiative underscores their commitment to accessible healthcare for all segments of society.
