Indian healthtech funding rebounds in Q4, crossing $1.2 billion
After a two-year slump, late-stage rounds and a wave of strategic acquirers returned capital to Indian healthtech in the final quarter of 2025.
India's healthtech sector ended 2025 on its strongest quarterly note in nearly three years, with cumulative funding crossing $1.2 billion across 47 disclosed rounds. The rebound was led by Series C and beyond rounds, signalling renewed confidence in unit economics that the 2022-23 correction had punished.
Diagnostics-led platforms, AI-radiology firms, and hospital-at-home operators dominated the league tables. Strategic acquirers — both Indian hospital chains and global medtech — accounted for a third of the capital deployed, a sharp shift from the venture-only profile of prior cycles.
Editors expect the next two quarters to test whether this rebound is structural or a single-cycle catch-up.
