The review highlights the significant disparity in cancer care across BRICS nations, which account for over 40% of the global population and report approximately 9 million new cancer cases annually. iOncology.ai could play a crucial role in bridging these gaps by providing evidence-based, interoperable solutions tailored for resource-limited settings. Dr. Ashok Sharma emphasized the importance of BRICS collaboration in enhancing cancer prevention and treatment efforts.

Path to Clinical Validation

While iOncology.ai is still undergoing pilot-stage clinical validation, the platform has not yet been clinically validated. It is currently being evaluated in research settings, and prospective multicentre validation will be required to establish its diagnostic accuracy and clinical utility. The platform utilizes curated Indian clinical datasets and plans to incorporate genetic data to enhance its capabilities further. As it progresses, it aims to integrate with electronic health record systems, enhancing its utility in clinical environments.
