IHH Healthcare and Fortis Announce Winners of India Catalyst Accelerator
eNext ICU tops IHH Catalyst Fortis India Edition, offering Tele-ICU solutions.
IHH Healthcare, in collaboration with its subsidiary Fortis Healthcare, has unveiled the winners of the inaugural IHH Catalyst Fortis India Edition. This startup accelerator program is designed to transition early-stage healthcare innovations from concept to clinical application. The announcement was made during a Demo Day event where ten startups presented their cutting-edge solutions to a panel of clinicians, healthcare leaders, and investors.
eNext ICU Takes Top Honors
Among the ten startups, eNext ICU emerged as the winner. The company operates a 24/7 Tele-ICU platform that allows specialists to remotely monitor and manage critically ill patients. This innovation is particularly beneficial in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, where there is a shortage of intensivists. Additionally, eNext ICU provides simulation-based training for healthcare professionals, enhancing their skills in critical care management.
Innovative Solutions Recognized
The first runner-up was RNT Health Insights, which has developed AI-powered medical devices aimed at improving the early detection of upper gastrointestinal cancers during routine endoscopies. These devices offer real-time decision support, aiding clinicians in identifying lesions that might otherwise be overlooked.
Cartogene Therapeutics was named the second runner-up for its efforts in making CAR-T cell therapy more affordable and accessible for blood cancer patients in India. The company has successfully reduced the treatment timeline to 8-10 days, significantly enhancing patient access to this life-saving therapy.
Diverse Innovations Across Healthcare Sectors
The other startups in the cohort included CarePal Money, Tatvacare, MicroHeal, Nalagenetics, Sunfox Technologies, Kubo Care, and Cureous Labs. These companies showcased a range of innovations across the program's five priority areas: patient journey and workflows, preventative and predictive care, chronic disease management, multidisciplinary care, and oncology.
Launched in February, the IHH Catalyst Fortis India Edition is the first regional version of IHH's global incubator platform. This 12-week program pairs startups with Fortis clinicians and operational leaders, offering mentorship, clinical validation, and access to hospital infrastructure. Participants also receive support in regulatory approvals, cybersecurity, and interoperability.
