Docon Technologies, a key promoter of Thyrocare Technologies Ltd, has sold a significant 9.9% stake in the diagnostics company for Rs 986 crore. The transaction, executed through multiple bulk and block deals, saw the offloading of 1,57,69,696 equity shares across the NSE and BSE on Thursday.
Details of the Stake Sale
The shares were sold within a price range of Rs 624 to Rs 631.71 each, culminating in a total transaction value of Rs 985.86 crore. The sale involved more than 1.31 crore shares through block deals and 10 lakh shares via bulk deals on the NSE. Additionally, 16.01 lakh shares were traded in a bulk deal on the BSE.
Following this divestiture, Docon's holding in Thyrocare has decreased from 60.92% to 51.02%. This move marks a continued reduction in Docon's stake, following a previous sale of a 10% stake for Rs 667 crore in October of the previous year.

Market response to the transaction was positive, with Thyrocare Technologies' shares rising nearly 3% to Rs 621.95 on the NSE and over 2% to Rs 622 on the BSE by Friday.
