Aster DM's KIMSHEALTH to Expand Thiruvananthapuram Hospital with Rs 134.4 Crore Investment

Aster DM Healthcare's subsidiary, KIMS Health Care Management Ltd (KHML), is set to invest Rs 134.4 crore to enhance its hospital facility in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The board of KHML has given the green light for constructing a new block and optimizing existing infrastructure at KIMSHEALTH Hospital, as detailed in a recent regulatory filing.

Expansion Plans and Capacity Increase

The planned expansion will add 184 beds to the current 795-bed capacity, raising the hospital's total capacity to approximately 979 beds. The project is scheduled to be completed by May 2028. This expansion is aimed at addressing current space constraints and enabling the growth of key specialties, thereby strengthening healthcare services in the region.

Funding Strategy

The investment for this substantial expansion will be financed through a combination of 70% debt and 30% equity. This financial strategy underscores the company's commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure while managing financial resources efficiently.
