Aster DM to Invest Rs 134.4 Crore in Thiruvananthapuram Hospital Expansion

Aster DM Healthcare's subsidiary, KIMS Health Care Management Ltd (KHML), has announced a significant investment of Rs 134.4 crore to expand its hospital facilities in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. This strategic move aims to enhance healthcare services in the region by addressing current space constraints and expanding key medical specialties.

Approved Expansion Plans

The Board of Directors of KHML has approved the construction of a new block at KIMSHEALTH Hospital, which will add 184 beds to the existing capacity. This expansion will increase the total number of beds from 795 to approximately 979, as confirmed in a regulatory filing. The project is expected to be completed by May 2028.

Funding Strategy

The investment will be financed through a combination of 70 percent debt and 30 percent equity. This financial approach underscores the company's commitment to bolstering its infrastructure to support anticipated growth and improve patient care capabilities in the region.
