Aster DM to Invest Rs 134.4 Crore in Thiruvananthapuram Hospital Expansion

Aster DM Healthcare's subsidiary, KIMS Health Care Management Ltd (KHML), has committed to investing Rs 134.4 crore to expand its hospital facilities in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. This significant development was confirmed by the company in a regulatory filing on Monday.

Expansion Details

The investment will facilitate the construction of a new block and the optimization of existing facilities at KIMSHEALTH Hospital. Once completed, the expansion will increase the hospital's capacity by 184 beds, elevating the total to approximately 979 beds from the current 795. The company has set a completion deadline for this project by May 2028.

Funding and Strategic Goals

The expansion project will be financed through a combination of debt and equity, with 70 percent of the funds sourced from debt and the remaining 30 percent from equity.
