Aster DM Plans Major Expansion of Thiruvananthapuram Hospital

Aster DM Quality Care Ltd has unveiled plans to significantly expand its hospital facilities in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, through an investment of Rs 134.4 crore. The company's subsidiary, KIMS Health Care Management Ltd (KHML), will spearhead the project, which aims to bolster the capacity and infrastructure of the KIMSHEALTH Hospital.

Ambitious Expansion Plans

The Board of Directors of KHML has sanctioned the construction of a new block and the optimization of current facilities at the hospital. This expansion will add 184 beds to the existing 795, increasing the total capacity to approximately 979 beds. The project is scheduled for completion by May 2028, according to a regulatory filing released on Monday.

The initiative seeks to address current space constraints and support the growth of key specialties, thereby enhancing the healthcare infrastructure in Thiruvananthapuram. Aster DM's strategic move comes as part of its broader mission to accommodate increasing patient demand and improve healthcare services in the region.

Funding Strategy
