AIIMS Workshop Aims to Enhance Health Education for Cardiometabolic Diseases

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi has convened a significant workshop aimed at enhancing the education of health professionals dealing with cardiometabolic diseases. Organized under the Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP) program, this initiative is spearheaded by the Centre of Excellence for the Education of Health Professionals, led by Prof. Nikhil Tandon and Ambuj Roy.

The workshop brings together a diverse array of stakeholders, including Advisory Committee members, subject-matter experts, NCD State Nodal Officers, and representatives from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC). According to AIIMS, the objective is to foster discussions on pre-service and in-service education, assess implementation priorities, identify training needs, and anticipate potential challenges.
