AIIMS Hosts Workshop to Enhance Cardiometabolic Disease Education
AIIMS New Delhi convenes experts to improve cardiometabolic disease education under the PEP program.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi recently organized a workshop aimed at enhancing health education for cardiometabolic diseases. This initiative, part of the Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP) program, was spearheaded by AIIMS' Centre of Excellence, led by Prof. Nikhil Tandon and Ambuj Roy.
Gathering Experts and Policymakers
The workshop brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including Advisory Committee members, subject-matter experts, NCD State Nodal Officers, and representatives from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC). Faculty from various academic institutions also participated to discuss the findings from the project's formative phase and plan future steps.
Through collaborative discussions, the workshop aimed to address key priorities such as pre-service and in-service education, implementation strategies, training needs, and potential challenges in the field of cardiometabolic diseases.
